Went to the Grand National Gun and Knife Show today. Seems as though prices are jumping every day. Everything seemed overpriced except brass. Ended up picking up 500 once fired cases of 38 spl brass for about $35. Components were overpriced as well.

Anyone have a finger to point in the direction of reasonable prices on components?

That's been my experience at the last few gun shows I went to also. I buy primers, powder and bullets at https://www.grafs.com/metallic/568 and http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/. Check out Magtech and Wolf primers, you can buy them for quite a bit lees than the top four. Depending on the caliber I also buy bullets at TNT reloading and I will look around the net for any deals. What calibers are you looking to load for?

Mostly .38 spl and .357 mag. But I can retain anyother info for later projects.

Obviously I know why the prices on firearms are going up, but they are getting just outragous on component prices. Looked at some 148g HBWCs today, and they were wanting like $14-15 dollars a 100!?!? This is at a gun show mind you. But then again when I went walking the isles I got a good laugh when I saw that they were trying to sell SKS's that looked like they had been drug behind a truck for a few miles for $350-400... Wont be back to that show next year.

It sounds like we've got some opportunists at work out there that are going to charge whatever the market will bear. Unfortunately, they are not reloading as a hobby like we are, and do not have to swallow the new prices.

I've found a few good deals at gun shows, but only a few.
If you're looking to buy a firearm on the cheap-
ya gotta stay at the door to catch a person coming in with one to sell or trade.

It seems the dealers and folks who rent the tables have about 90% evolved gunshows
into some sort of a large traveling retail store, and they actually expect to make a profit there.
