Gun show price for a Norinco M14

My father in law is going to the gun show to sell his Norinco M14. What is the current going rate for a private sale, in very good condition?

I used the search feature, but all the threads were older.

He'd be better trying to sell it locally.
They try to pawn shop price him, because they'll make more on resale.

I'd look on "sold" auctions on GunBroker to set what they've actually sold for

There are 2 on Gunbroker. A Norinco Polytech w/ scope asking $1350.00 and a Norinco M14 Sporter asking $1150.00.
Neither have bids. I have to agree with NightLord, a grand or so sounds about right IMO.

If it's not too late...

Norinco M14 rifles can bring good money from the right person. Those receivers are forged and are excellent for builds... but some receivers are different than others, and more desirable. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know the differences.

If he doesn't have any luck, I would hunt around the M14forum for a buyer.
