An interesting day today at the gun show. No line to get in, (I didn't get there before it opened like normal though). Lots and lots of ammo, even plenty of .380, not so much .45's, decent prices, small crowd. Several attendee's trying to sell black guns and a couple of AK's, not usual.

Saw a .38 special LCR labeled as a .380 LCP (by a dealer no less).

Not a run on anything that I saw. Heard a couple of people say things like, "the prices are coming down, I am sure they will go lower, let's wait."
.

Went to our gunshow here in Bakersfield CA today. It comes to town about 5-6 times a year. Today was the 1st time in recent memory where there was a pretty good offering of guns and ammo. Ammo wasn't overly plentiful, but not scarce as it has been. Prices were reasonable, but not cheap.

Maybe things are starting to turn around.

I didn't bother going to the Raleigh show today. I haven't been in months. Seems like 95% of the dealers fit in one of three categories:

1) All items for sale are complete and utter crap - NcSTAR scopes, chinese stun guns, poorly made leather goods, etc.
2) All items for sale have nothing to do with guns - beef jerky, children's toys, clothing, etc (stuff I could get at WalMart without paying to get in).
3) Actual gun dealers, but either they A) Don't have what I want, or B) are asking 200% more money than I could pay elsewhere and are unwilling to haggle.

What is name of gun show? I'll been going to Dixie Gun and Knife Show

Did you see any black powder stuff (vendor) thanks. what was admission?

Very little. Admission was $8 and air conditioning wasn't working until about noon. Pretty hot.
