I was at the Shot Show today.
Saw and held the new huge S&W 500.
I talked to the Kel Tec guy and he said the new .380 will be out in May.
I asked him about some having to Fluff and Buff and he said that was never a problem and that every gun comes off the line and into the package.

I saw Rob Leatham and that TV guy from American Shooter, both at the Springfield area.
All in all a lot of fun.

Any pics of the new stuff you saw? Huh, huh?

What did you see that you look forward to this year other than the new S&W?

Folks,

The S&W 500 Mag is on S&W's website. Two versions. Standard 8.5" bbl (SKU 163500) and Hunter w/10.5" bbl (SKU 170231).

Figures they's send marketing guys to the SHOT Show.

I believe he stated what they do -- off the line and into the box. All my new KTs needed -- really needed -- cleaning out of the box. The manufacturing gunk hadn't even been cleaned off.

However, I clean and lube all new or new to me guns anyway, and my KTs have been perfect.

If Keltec paid people to clean the guns before sending them out, then that would drive the price up and they would not sell as many. Like you, most people thoroughly clean new guns before shooting anyway. Seems like a sound business practice to me.

I'm eagerly awaiting the new P-3AT.

Kilgore, Fluff & Buff isn't slang for cleaning your pistol, it's a "home tune up" process done by Kel-Tec users as a pre-firing effort to ensure reliable function of their KT's.

Onslaught,

Thank you for the info, but I must admit that I already knew that. I had a P32 that was 100% reliable without a fluff and buff. :) I sold it because of my lack of confidence in the .32 acp as a round, but am now eagerly awaiting the P-3AT. Seven 0.355" 102 grain golden sabers from a gun the size of a P32 is awesome!

I was responding to Blackhawk's comments below:
