Is Gunbroker having to verify a bank account something new? I've got my gunbroker pay account and two credit cards listed on there as payment methods and it worked fine over the summer. I sold some guns on there over the summer with no issues. (Unless I had my checking account attached then and somehow removed it).

I listed a couple guns last week and this afternoon one sold. It's telling me I need to enter a bank account and have it verified -- that'll take 3 days -- before I can give the guy shipping costs or anything to proceed with the deal. Shouldn't they get all that required stuff ahead of time so I don't have buyers hanging there in limbo?

Contact GB directly, it's possible it's a phishing expedition to get you banking information.

Well it all worked out. Both the buyer and I were being dumb and pushing wrong buttons.

/also after shipping off his revolver a little while ago I sure do wish the guy who lived 10 minutes down the road would have won the auction -- oof those fedex shipping costs when you're not an ffl.

Every gun I've bought off GB, I paid the shipping. You paid to ship the gun?

Pushed the wrong buttons? Douglas Fargo is that you..........? :)

Verifying a bank account when a linked account is used as a payment method is standard operating method for all the online vendors and financial account entities I've used that option with. And is something you want them to do so that's an anti-fraud check against some entity that tries to empty your bank account.
