Guns are tools?

Guns are tools. Ratchets are tools. Skil saws are tools. All are to be used properly, then cleaned and put away properly.

I like that. I can also say one can adorn their tools with engraving and such. Nothing wrong with a tool that's also a work of art.

Yet many anti-gun supporters base their opinions entirely on these "semantics"...

I wasn't addressing that, but yes, I s'pose they do. They also lack the ability to make a rational argument which goes hand-in-hand with that tactic.

Heck, I have the Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol my great-great grandfather bought in Camilla, GA, before enlisting at Forsythe and marching to fight in Atlanta.

My family taught me to treat tools the same way as Ash's.

I sure would like to see a picture of that old Colt.

Firearms are tools I suppose, but like my mechanics tools I take care of them. Just because you get a wrench greasy doesn't mean you have to put it up that way.

I think the main reason many refer to them as tools is because "others" think of firearms as some kind of death spewing evil machine that operates itself.
