Thank you for the info! I am currently in the Missouri National Guard RSP. Do you know how old you have to be to buy guns on base? I know state law is 18 for long arms and 21 for handguns, are there more restrictions on NG personnel?
18 and 21 are federal, not state imposed, restrictions on firearms purchases, so will apply on post/base.Thank you for the info! I am currently in the Missouri National Guard RSP. Yep, every stateside and european airbase I was at had a Rod and Gun Club. Most had some sort or range on site, or had arrangements to use the base ranges.Way back in the 60s, when I was in the infantry in Germany, the PX did not sell guns. However...
One could go to the "Rod and Gun Club", Which was an on-post store that was a combined bar and sporting goods store.
I am not kidding.
You could slide up to the bar, have a beer or two, and then go into the back room to examine the weapons for sale. I bought a bunch; prices were extremely good.....
