Guns you would like to see in production

Smith and Wesson American top break in .44 Russian caliber.
1860 Henry and 1866 Winchester lever action replica rifles in .44 Russian caliber.
Bulldog copy in .44 Russian
Correctly dimensioned Remington Double Derringer in .44 Russian with a modern strengthened hinge.

I detect a pattern here...:scrutiny:

For a second, I thought you were going to ask for the Glock in .44 Russian.

Now that would be an interesting trick. :D

.44 Russian is a very underrated, underappreciated, economical, 100 meter cartridge.

6" longslide 10mm Glock with a good set of adjustable sights or a J-Point type dot optic could be an excellent hunting handgun.

The only pattern is reasoned contemplation.

A .40 S&W carbine (similar to the old Camp Carbine) that takes either Glock or XD magazines. Why? Because it would be a great way to get rid of all of my extra .40 ammo... :)

CZ-75 or 97 in 10mm (I know that EAA makes a clone in 10mm but I don't want one that would blow up using full power loads. The new Bren Ten may fill this want, if a bit expensive)

or a modern pistol chambered in 7.62 Tokarev

Webley MK VI .45 LC, Marlin Levers in .500 S&W& .327 mag., Krag rifles in .30-40 and 6.5x55, threaded barrels as a factory option on damn near everything but revolvers (I love silencers).

New in production, as in all brand-new:
-M1 Garand built to be as tough as those during WWII, it would make a really decent deer-killer carbine for Michigan.
-Mosin-Nagant, so I could buy without worrying about Cosmoline.
-GSG-5 or other MP5 .22 variant. I included this because they have ceased production early this year and I really liked the idea, not saying you can't get them but just saying they should still be made.

+1 for more Top break revolvers. I love my Schofield even if I can shoot circles around it with more modern guns.

I'd love to see the Gyrojet modernized and turned into a small hypervelocity rocket.

Reasonably priced Winchester M94--something priced to compete with the Marlin 336, not the >$1000 collector's items Winchester is producing now.

Single stack Glock in 10mm

More Blued handguns, especially revolvers.

HK45 chambered in 10mm

Smith 586

H&R single shot in 218 Bee

Acceptance of "boutique" rounds by consumers and industry. (357 sig, 9x23, 10mm, 38 super, 400 and 440 corbon)

Greatest idea ever:

A modern, cheaper version of a Mauser "broomhandle" C96.

Either stamped (for a lower cost version) or milled lower containing trigger group with a redesigned upper utilizing a rear-roller locking mechanism to replace the complicated original system. Original style tangent sights with peep also available. Chambered in 7.62x25, 9mm, .45acp, or whatever else they felt like. To top it all off, acceptance by the ATF to allow the original stock/holster attachment without an SBR stamp.

Workable, cheap to produce, power to spare, and a hella fun range toy or home defense tool. What do you think?

Oh, and a version in .38 Special just for fun.

:D

I'd like there to be a lot more production 10mm pistols, in the hopes that more people would buy them and make finding range brass easier :D

I'd also like someone to make a P7 that was lighter. I'd trade a little extra recoil for some weight savings. A guy can dream.

Full and compact size Glock models sans accessory rails, in other words resurrect Gen 2.

I would love to see the 1911 Officer's Model come back out at a price people could afford. I know Armscor makes one, but I would love an American made forged frame under $600.

I would love to see a general reduction in the crazy prices big name manufacturers ask. I shouldn't have to buy a Philipine knock off to get a low price 1911. I would love to be able to afford a new J frame instead of having to buy a Rossi or Taurus. $600 for a new model 60 is painful.

I would like to see a Bull Pup style 7.62x39 make it in to regular production. Oh and if it was less than $800 that would be great.

The main guns I want are in production though. Auto Ordance makes brand new M1 Carbines and there are plenty of snub .357s out there. There is even the Rock Island Armory Officer's Model 1911. So I guess really I should be happy and say there is nothing I am truly missing in the gun world.

1) Ruger Security and Service Six
2) S&W Model 58 in .41 Magnum and .44 Special
3) Colt Detective Special
4) Colt Cobra
5) Colt Trooper MK. V

3" S&W 581 with a round grip frame in six shot 357, 5 shot in 45ACP, 44 Spec, 41mag and 45 Colt. If Taurus can make a 5 shot gun on their compact frame in 44 mag, same size as a K Frame S&W, S&W can make an L frame gun like above.
S&W model 13 and 547 with a 3" barrel and round grip.

A Winchester mod 70 clone scaled to fit a 38 Special with a 5 shot mag version and a Single shot version.

I want Ruger to make a .45LC/.410 revolver. I can't stand Taurus, and probably wouldn't need one anyway, but it would be nice to have an alternative to Taurus...

Since this is mostly wishfull thinking, I'll bite.

Guns I would like to brought back into normal production:
Colt Python
Colt Detective Special (3rd generation style barrel rated for serious use of 38 SPEC +P ammo)
S&W 28 Highway Patrolman
S&W 10
Ruger Security Six

Guns I would like to see created and brought into production
Semi-auto version HK MP5 (one where the trigger group cannot be removed and replaced with an automatic trigger group making it civilian legal)
Beretta CX4 Storm carbine in 500 S&W Magnum
AR15 in 500 S&W Magnum

Hmmm. A lot of folks are missing the Marlin and Ruger pistol caliber carbines.

Now that you mention it, I'd cough up the money to buy a reasonably priced semi-auto 10mm carbine and/or an accurate .357 auto-carbine as well.

KR

1941 Johnson in .308
PS90 in 9mm, 10mm, and/or .40 cal
more bullpup rifles with good triggers
FN products that are reasonably priced (as far as rifles anyways)
A civilian version of the FAMAS

An affordable big bore double-barrel rifle!

By affordable I mean less than $2000.00. I'm not even a hunter. There's just something so cool about double rifles.
