On the loading, you would think most people would realize their mistake when the bullets were pointing the wrong way when they inserted the mag.

At the range a month or two ago, a guy set up a couple seats over. He apparently tried to fire a couple times and nothing was happening. He asked me to look. He just bought a brand new 7mm rifle at Academy and was trying it out. The ammo box said 7mm-06. The rifle said 7mm WSM. Thankfully, even though the cartrige would fit in the chamber, the fire pin would not fire it. He pick up and headed back to Academy to talk to them. He said he had shot 30.06 and other more common ammo a lot, but I guess he didn't know much about 7mm and didn't think to look at what the Academy guy gave him.

Also, at my CHL class, a guy showed up with Jennings 9mm new in box. He had never fire it before. Luckily for him, the instructor helped him oil it up a bit so it would function.

I agree that the average person is just not knowledgable about guns. It is probably a great opportunity to do a little teaching.

I like this one better .

Oh, and I don't work for the Marketing Dept so there's a good chance everything will go as planned.

There IS nothing wrong with that picture. Notice the proof marks above the trigger & slide stop. That stag horn emblem means the weapon has passed thru a german proof house as is required of all german firearms and functions as intended. My 45 Tac looks identical. The extractor actually sits just above the beveled edge in the slide on the other side (obviously).

Another view...

Further proof that most of the people that like to badmouth one of the world's finest handguns don't know anything about them to begin with.

I'll think about it. I have a bad cold right now so I can't for a while. I went to a store recently & almost passed out.
