H&K Mk 23 Question

Saw a used H&K Mk 23 at the gun store the other day and it's $1,899. I have absolutely no experience or knowledge about H&K prices. Does that seem like a good deal? Or should I look elsewhere? Thank you in advance for any input.

I saw one NIB at a show last weekend for $1850 USD.

Although they aren't so easy to find, a more normal price for a used MK23 is more like $1700. I've seen them as low as $1500, but that's a steal. Not long ago CDNN had them new for $17??. This price you're looking at would be a good deal if the case were one of the collectables, had a bunch of extra magazines or was maybe an original HK Maritime Finish (rare... ugly but rare).

Why, were you looking at the USP's and saying to yourself, "You know, that's a great gun but I wish it were a lot bigger."?

It was pretty much, "whoa, a Mk 23!" And yes, I'm in Canada.

That would be $1774 USD. That's not bad.
