I opposed the Bill and a few other ones like the high capacity magazines.

That's McCarthy. Pity there's no serious contender for her seat.

Unfortunately Sen. Cohen from Memphis is on the House Judiciary Committee and he's one of the Co-Sponsors.

I love some of the definitions they are using in congress now. Take a look at this one from HR 226 when they start talking about "assault weapons" and the sporting purposes debate:

The term ‘specified assault weapon’ means any of the following:
A semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable or sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. In making the determination, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any Federal law enforcement agencyis not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to
be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.

IE, just because you can use your gun in 3 gun doesn't mean that it is suitable for sporting purposes...

What about the National Trophy Match, fired yearly at Camp Perry, OH? It's established by a federal law. :uhoh:

It can't be stated enough that it is absolutely critical regardless of what happens with these current Bills that we unseat those who would infringe on our Rights and support those who are standing up for us. Pay attention to when the next election is coming up for your reps and get involved! Don't forget!

Thanks for the sponsor list, hso. I found them later on the page, but already sent emails with the included list, with a comment about actively getting them removed from office in their states, no matter party affiliation. A traitor is a traitor.

I'm sending the addendum to emails I already sent to reps., thanks again.

Odd that the sponsors are almost exclusively from lib states with failed gun control measures like CA, NY, and IL.

Sheila Jackson-Lee is safely contained in her carefully gerrymandered district, and can rot there for all the rest of us care. We don't need her supporters contaminating the vote in neighboring districts, thanks.

Sheila Jackson-Lee has needed to be unseated for years, yet she remains...
She will die in office of old Age, she will never be voted out and we in Texas all know why, same goes for the other one in South Dallas.:banghead:

Grijalva has his seat, and will hold it as long as he wants, because he represents a district that was deliberately gerrymandered by a court order to insure that Mexican-Americans would have a voice. It, and he, are an excellent example of what happens when illegal aliens over time grow in numbers until they are dominant within the larger population. Unfortunately the rest of us cannot simply “vote him out of office.”

He can, and will ignore any pro-gun rights mail he gets, and as a result suffer no consequences.
