Would appreciate any comments from those who own or have owned one of these rifles. Any tips on loads, accuracy issues, etc. Just purchased one and would lke to get your thoughts.

Thanks,
Charles

still breaking mine in, but the one issue I have found is that the factory sights are set very low, I have had to raise my rear sight all the way up to be on target at 100 yards. However this is with hand loaded black powder rounds.

so far I really like the rifle and plan on buying the upgraded sights on H&r's website

also where in dallas do you shoot? I normally head down to gibsons on saturday mornings

My only beef is the trigger.

It has the same trigger as the H&R shotguns. Not terrible, but not excellent, either. A very fun gun, though. I, too, have stoked mine up with BP loads. 70gr of FFF under a 350gr bullet. Much fun! A bear to clean, that black stuff. Brass corrodes very quickly. As for buying the rifle, I'd say do it if you like single shots or just the H&R in particular.
