Would anyone know where I can get a replacement transfer bar and or someone who works on H&R's?
Called Remington, no parts available, nor do they seem to care.
I've read that an old style hammer and firing pin can be installed, can't find that either.
The gun isn't worth much but it's very handy for dog training. I use it for blanks / popping primers, it rarely fires shot shells.

Found one, the call it a "striker & lifter assembly".
Numrich had the best price that I could find.
Now if I can install it. Looks like a PITA.

I had an H & R ml that the transfer bar broke too. My gunsmith eliminated it and did some machine work on the face of the hammer, enabling it to strike the nipple. Some will question whether this was safe & I can't say for sure, but I do know that my gunsmith would never make a gun unsafe. That's just the kind of guy he is.

There are a couple of tricks to reassembling the H&R receiver. Make sure the locking block and thumb lever are properly "timed". It can be put together so that the thumb lever does not move the locking block enough.
Make a "slave pin" to hold the trigger in place on the trigger housing while assembling.
