I went to my local gun store today to window shop . They had a Ruger Charger sitting in the case for 299.00+tax. I looked at it and handed it back and left. I went home to read up on it and decided what the hell. It seemed like alot of gun for the money. I went back and asked what's the best they can do. The owner said 285.00+tax. I told them to set it aside for me and I'll be back friday. Now, it needs a scope obviously. I don't want a red dot. I want a scope with magification. Does anybody have any recommendations on a scope preferrably for under 200.00.

Thanks, Flip.

Weaver, Bushnell, Nikon and Simmons make some decent scopes for handguns, and since its just a .22LR you dont need a super tough scope to handle recoil, so you shouldnt have to spend too much. And Id probably go 2-6x or 2-8 for magnification, because youd be able to cover all bases with that range of magnification.

Have fun with your new toy. :D

I first used a 5X Burris.
Then a 2x7x TC.
And recently a Simmons 3x9x rifle scope.

I also use BSA Red Dot sights .

All have worked well.

So far the most accurate ammo I found is the Aguila Standard velocity.
But I have some match ammo to try yet.

M2 Carbine, thanks for the pics!

I haven't picked it up yet. I'm trying to decide if there's anything else I want to get instead but the more I read about the charger the more I'd like to get it. I don't expect it to move anytime soon and will try to drop by and get it before the end of this week. I might just drop a red dot on it first just to get it out and then maybe go with a magnified scope. We'll see. There are those that question the validity or use of such a beast but there have been a bunch of positive reviews from those that have them. I'm looking forward to trying one out even if it is for a fun gun.

It's an interesting gun.
I suspect that before long there will be aftermarket stuff for the Charger like for the 10/22 rifle.
