Most people hate doing these. It's the end of the year. What are your New Years resolutions?

Anything you plan to buy? Sell? Trade? Get more magazines for? Carry more often? Take to the range more often? Clean/Clean better/more frequently?

Basically anything!

My new years resolution is to go to the range at least once a month and put a couple hundred rounds through my Walther P99 to get proficient with it. Get that muscle memory. And maybe even take a class or two to become a better shooter.

I will practice this winter and lose weight.

Going to kick some ass in 2010!

@David E: Is losing weight related to handguns? Well I suppose if it means it helps you to better conceal one!

I'm going to practice until I can shoot smiley faces out of bullet holes at 15 yards.

AMEN!

Weight loss would make IWB carry a bit easier for me anyway.
Preach it brother!

'Course with the current costs of componants, I can't afford food, so it should be a self-correcting problem :D

Gonna finally shoot 9mm seriously in competition.

I guess I should add that I want to drop some weight. Would make concealing easier. Better for my overall health. Hopefully it will be easy. I got a buddy who wants to start hitting the gym together and having a workout buddy definitely makes it easier.

Sam1911: Go shoot that competition!

1. Get CHL...I didn't buy my Kel-Tec and CZ to sit there and look pretty.
2. Get my CZ-82 refinished.
3. Have my lawyer roommate set up a trust for me so I can get a can for my Walther.
4. Practice Practice Practice!

Mine is to stop buying guns, I have enough... for now.

I plan to devote my entire shooting budget to training and ammo/components (which will be used, not stacked deep in my closet).

One caveat, I will finish my AR build before my resolution goes into effect.:)

Lions you had me scared there for a second when you said "stop buying guns" but then with further reading, you saved yourself.

Good resolutions everyone.

I'm really the only one in my immediate family that has any interest in firearms and learning their usage. So that makes me a newb. Slowly but surely I'll get more and more knowledgeable about guns and better trained in their usage. I haven't experienced the "save up for a few months and buy one expensive gun instead of buying a cheaper one often"

I'll get there one day.

BP Hunter probably has it right. My resolutions always go to pieces anyway, but I'll give it the old college try.

My resolution is to buy a new CC weapon, and become proficient with it!

And more trips to the range this year.

BP Hunter I have that deal with my wife....promised I'd stop buying guns till April....unless I sell something I already have..........I want more 1911's so I need to get rid of my Revolvers...a 500, .44, and .357 mag

But my wife and I plan on shooting in competitions this summer

I want my S&W M&P to lose a prescribed amount of weight every week...at least 100 rounds worth.

And I will enable its success every week....that's just the kinda friend I am.

1. Get CCDW license (I think my brother, wife, sister-in-law, and her husband are all going to take the class with me).

2. Lose weight to make concealing easier. From what I've tried with my full size M&P, I have to really lose the love handles if I don't want it to print.

The three revolvers I would like to get next year is:

1. Colt .357 Magnum

2. Colt Trooper (not the Mark series)

3. Pre-WII Colt Detective Special

Merry Christmas all!

Jackie

This year I averaged buying 3-4 guns a month(41 total). In 2010 I will buy no more than 1 gun a month and drop 30 pounds of weight too.
