Handgun Purchase in Texas

I'm going to be in Texas for a couple of weeks. I hold a valid CCW permit from Michigan. Can I purchase a handgun in Texas? Couldn't find anything on the net.

You can't purchase handguns outside your state of residence regardless of CCW. I guess you could PPT, but I don't know the legality of it. An FFL won't hand it over though. . .

You can purchase a handgun, but the ffl who sold it to you would have to ship it to your local ffl. Same as an internet sale from another state.

The ffl in Texas may not want to deal with the hassle.

You could purchase a handgun from an FFL or a non-FFL, but the seller would need to ship it to an FFL in your home state.
