I-Frame!

I-Frame size revolver in 32 H&R mag and 22mag. The 32 H&R would be a 5-shot, and the 22 mag a 6-shot. Both would be DAO, and be made of the "airweight" materials, stainless steel and aluminum alloy. Current models of "airweights" are 15 oz with Uncle Mike's grips, and the reduced size of an I-frame would prob make them weight 10-13 ozs. Barrel would be 1.5 to 2.0 inches, and would be available with colored front sight inserts. And for about $50-75 extra you could get a factory action job with the gun, along with the trigger being polished like what Clark Custom Guns offers.

I'll take one of these... :)

Sad thing is, you know that even in the 23rd century some crank will be complaining that Starfleet doesn't use the M1911A1 :p

A Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt with:

Colt style brass grip frame, otherwise all steel
bright polish blueing and no warning on the barrel
Colt style muzzle crown on a 5 1/2" barrel
old 3-screw action
Colt style bullseye ejector
interchangeable front sight blades
Bowen style rear sight
wide smooth trigger
mammoth ivory grips

Even if someone made it I could never afford it. But I can dream...

Howsabout a CZ75 single stack in .45 acp? I know I'd buy one.

But I have been told I have odd tastes.

Barrett

Edit: Heck, even a GAP in that setup would tickle my fancy.

A relatively thin double stack 1911 with a ten round capacity that is otherwise a standard "G.I." model(no polymer, forward serrations, aluminum triggers, or the like).

* The S&W 16, Revisited: Give us a K-frame target revolver in .32 H&R Magnum with adjustable sights and 6" half-lug barrel. I tell you what.

* Revamp all Ruger's single-action revolvers to feature the improved indexing and lockwork on the New Vaquero

* More steel/alloy-framed, single-stack non-1911 .45 ACP autoloaders

* Bring back the S&W 696 (5-shot .44 Special)

* This would also be nice:

A Ruger GP100 with a 5 shot .44 Special chambered cylinder...

Revolvers with swappable cylinders and barrel sleeves allowing relatively easy caliber changes.

Hi cap .22LR's

A snubbie with the barrel cut down to the end of the frame produced in .44spl

Hi cap mags that are faster to reload.

Electronic triggers as options

more "varmit caliber handguns"

a Berreta 92 with the Taurus PT92 safety chambered in .45 ACP

At least an explaination as to why .45ACP costs TWICE as much as 9mm!

S&W 610 and in blue as well as stainless
A officers model 1911 in 10mm
Bring back the full line of Colt's including these:
Detective
Colt king cobra
Anaconda
Goverment and Gold Cup
Commander
Officers
Delta
Dont forget the 9x23, remember that?
Mustang
Woodsman

Uhhh...no Python? :)

Ideas

Replying to someone's post above, there is a P7 in .45 but I believe there are only 6 in the world.

But I'd like to see...

-a modern combat handgun chambered for the 7.62x25mm or the .22RE (7.62 TOK necked down to .223)

-a modern Russian PSM (5.45x18) or a 5.45x18 conversion for the Makarov

-a new production remake of the Grendel .22mag 30 shot handgun

-an H&K USP clone chambered in my propriety round, a .45ACP necked down to 9mm

-a high-cap close range carbine chambered for the 9x39mm round

Some of you may think my ideas are strange but I wound happily take any of the said weapons (besides the Grendel remake) into most any combat situation.

Would a 1911 work with a bottlenecked round?

The biggest problems are the magazine well needs to be a smidge wider front to back, and the ejection port could use some relief if you want to eject loaded rounds.

Anyone making a .357 SIG 1911 yet?

A SIG Pro compact; essentially a lighter and less expensive P239 but shrinking it down closer to 232 sized would be pretty nifty too.

Much agreed.

The .223 timbs (.223 55gr sabot in 7.62x25mm) reaches volocities of 1,852 fps, compared to the 1963 85gr chineses load, which gets only 1,532 fps.

And the 52gr 7.52x25mm MagSafe Defender gets 2,234 FPS, but thats with a 7.62 cailber bullet.

Sig 220 with 12r cap. Although that new xd looks good too.

Some more 10 mms in with more cap.

Glock .22 pistol.
