My dealer had a Taurus 9mm 24/7 in the case, so I asked to look at it.

Seemed like a well-made gun.
I've got mixed emotions about the Ribber grip, but it did feel good in the hand.
It reminded me a lot of a XD, or maybe SW99.

If I hadn't had such bad experience with a PT145, I may be more excited about it.

I just realized that I forgot to look at the price tag!
If it's a significantly less than a Ruger P95, it may be worth a look.

A reliable, inexpensive, accurate 9mm for the range would be a good thing.
I would prefer single stack, but I can't remember if the 24/7 is a single- or double- stack.
Edited to add: It's a double stack I think, because it's listed as "10+1" on the Taurus web site.

It had a slim grip that felt good in the hand, but man, that's sure not a handsome gun. :uhoh:

from http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=24/7-9SS&category=Pistol :

The PT 24/7 polymer frame pistol is the most innovative in design and firearms engineering. Offering improved ergonomics and performance, the 24/7 design features enhanced finger indexing Memory Pads, Posi-Traction slide serrations and recessed magazine release, all weighing in at a mere 26 ounces. Ten rounds in the magazine, one in the chamber, and the lightweight frame with integral accessory rail system makes this lifesaver a must for law enforcement. The double action only Taurus PT 24/7 is available with either a Blue or Stainless Steel slide. The 24/7 carries three safety features including a manual safety lever, trigger block mechanism and a firing pin block. The Taurus Security System is included at no extra charge.

wow! it's got posi-traction!

somehow, i don't think it'd match well with a muscle car ;)

' handled one today..

I agree, it seems like its a nice gun. The trigger is like the Colt P2000(?) polymer pistol, points better than a Glock, at least for me. ' just forgot to ask if it takes 92f magazines. Oh well....unless someone here knows?

I might be a bit screwy in the head, but I've always thought they looked good in a odd kinda way (just as I think the G19/23 look good).
However, it's not the same kinda "good" as a nice looking 1911.

Not to compare firearms to women (never understood that) but you've got supermodels in swimsuits that look good, but occasionally you'll also come across some business women dressed in their attire that look great as well. I suppose it's that kind of difference for me... the 24/7 looks all business and ready to go.

It's on my list of firearms-to-get, but I'll let the guinea pigs work out any potential bugs before I pick one up. Perhaps it'll be called the 24/7 Millennium Pro by that time.

For those unfamiliar with the 24/7 : It's no supermodel and doesn't pretend to be, it's all business
