Happy Dance: Picked up Win 94 44mag.

I recently bought a Win 94 30-30 with the tang safety and was very pleased so I picked up another, this time in 44mag, nice holds nine rounds and has the 16 inch barrel. It will go nice with the Ruger Vaquero I have and is a nice gun to sit by the bed (along with the 12ga).

Anyway, I have a Williams sight on the 30-30 which works great, can I use the same model for the 44mag. The reason I ask is because it says not for big bore models. I do not consider the 44mag to be big bore and just want some reassurance on this. Thanks.

I believe big bore refers to the 375 or 45-70. You should be OK with the same sight.

I have Winchesters in .357 Mag, .44 Mag and .45 Colt. They're all a blast.

I had a Trapper in .45 Colt and tossed it into a trade cause the action was just not quite as smooth as my Marlins in pistol calibers.
But it was beautifully put together and a hoot to shoot.
Wish now I had kept it. :banghead:
I haven't seen one since with the quality of wood and blueing that one had on it.
