I am the one who originally complained about the bulk packs of Gold Bullets being junk. Almost 20% would not fire in 3 different guns.
I had a second bulk pack (different lot number) that I just finished. There was not a single misfire in the whole brick.
Remington quality control sucks!
I called my buddy and told him about the $2.49 ammo. He took his wife and together they bought the limit of 10 boxes.
I returned to the Meijer store the next day to find the supply sold out. At the same time they had 500 round bricks of Federal in the orange colored boxes for $49.95. Go figure! I checked my receipt, that came with the 5 box sale, and it said the clearance price saved me $37.xx.
I have to agree that it was a pricing mistake. How it got priced "on clearance" was my fortunate fate to stumble on that day.
I check their ammo prices almost every day and will pounce when the time is right.

Zero misfires = quality control sucks?

From numerous reports, it appears that Remington had a quality control issue during the shortage, but as your own experience with a bulk pack with a different lot number tends to show, they have gotten those issues resolved.

If you're going to make the assertion that someone's quality control is poor, it's probably not a good idea to cite an example with zero failures.

Zero misfires = quality control sucks?
Hdwhit- note --- one box of 525 rounds had about 20% misfires. The second box had none. In my book their quality control sucks. Somebody fell asleep at the switch when they made the first bulk box. JUst because one box was what it was expected to be does not mean that they do not have a problem. Had this been a life or death situation, I'd rather have some ammo that fires ALL the time, not just every other box!
