I hope the ammo shortage is settling down. My LGS had pallets of Winchester 100 round target packs. $29 plus tax. Not great, not terrible. Also had tons of PMC .45 ACP for $22 plus tax for 50 rounds. I was just happy to buy some. No box limit. I didn't inquire about case prices.

I got an email ad today from Sportsman's Outdoor offering 500 rounds of Winchester 147 gr FMJ flat nose for $399, so that's 80 cents a round for 9mm. How desperate do you have to be to pay that?

I am in St. Louis, MO. I was looking at calibers I keep... .45 ACP, 9MM, and .40 S&W. Plenty of ammo. Owner told me his prices increased, but he was pissed about the gouging he sees at other St. Louis businesses. While I was there yesterday afternoon, another guy was literally struggling with a pallet of ammo to bring out. I couldn't stay to see what he had, but...

Glad the OP found ammo, maybe its a sign that the shortage is lessening.

:scrutiny:

Some of the Federal HST stuff wasn’t ever inexpensive, I think I paid $20-22 something a box for 25 of the 9mm 150 gr HST Micro ammo last year.

I don’t know if Federal is marketing fmj under the HST label, if they are then .95 a round is very expensive indeed.

As for the OP, that’s one retailer I would be returning to for purchases no matter what. The Country needs a few more good ones like that!

Stay safe.

My LGS had some 200 ct boxes of browning ammo in 9mm. They limited it to one box per person. The wife and I were there together and were able to score two.

I imagine this thread will get locked down as mine was, but gander in Marion IL had 357 jhp, magtech 25/ per 50.

Rural king in effingham IL had pmc bronze 380 14 per 50, federal 45 fmj 17 per fifty plenty on the shelves.

Of course they do; it's dove season

Sorry... I should have said in my original post it was 100 round target packs of Winchester 115 grain 9MM. Going back tomorrow before I put some rounds down range. Makes me feel comfortable to just go shoot without worrying about ammunition.

I was at Cabelas on Monday. 5 boxes of 25 auto and 1 box of 5.7mm. No other handgun ammunition in stock. 6 20 round boxes of Remington 55 gr jacketed at $20 per box. No thanks, I have a fair amount already and won't pay those prices.

Then their pricing model is working; you left that for someone who will really need it and is willing to pay it since they might not have any

Dont forget that you DO get an extra 32 gr of lead and the coveted semi wad cutter profile... so....yeah.. you get that too....

;)

The price must be lower in Chicago and New York

There seems to be plenty of ammunition to keep the murder rates at record levels

As of today, local around me, 9mm and 380 is nill to be had, for any price. Last box of 9mm, 50 rounds, was going for $20 per box.
22. lr is also stripped from the shelves.

But hey, anyone want some 12 gauge? Never a shortage of that!

I was in the LGS I originally mentioned in this post as having tons of 9MM. They sold it all as of yesterday morning, but are expecting more this week.

If you go to “edit”, then “advanced” (IRRC), you can edit the title. Regular edit lets you edit contents

I originally thought it was .22, I was thinking it was a little steep for .22

I wonder how they are able to get inventory when places like target Sports USA has ZERO (and I wonder how they can keep their doors open)
