Okay guys, not a salesman and not trying to sway anyone. I am not going to post a link, or stats on accuracy, or recoil reduction or the like. This is not a "competition shooter's" review. I didn't use a recoil sled and there aren't any YouTube videos of me shooting rounds into a tree before or after the brake's installation to show you how it increased penetration. If you don't see the sarcasm in that last comment then I can't help your sense of humor and we may not be able to be friends.

So, why am I posting about a muzzle brake that I don't have scientific, empirical data on?

Simple. This really isn't about the muzzle brake. The brake does what he says it will. It reduces recoil to the point that I can watch a .308 round from a Tikka CTR impact the target at 100+- yards. I don't know how many lbs of recoil that is and I don't care. It looks pretty cool, too, but my cool and your cool are probably different so there's that. In the end, all I can say is that his product works. Like a spoon or fork. It works.

What I was most impressed with is the old man that makes them. Mr. Harrell is an honest guy. So, honest that you will probably never experience a modern business with his principles. If the product doesn't work, doesn't fit, or you don't like it...don't pay and send it back. Pretty standard, huh? Well, imagine you are sitting 500 miles away from his shop, haven't provided your credit card information, and you are holding the muzzle brake in your hand.

Pretty standard? I don't think so.

So, please don't take this as a sales pitch. I don't gain a thing from promoting his product and I can honestly say that I don't know how his $40 product compares to the $250 offerings out there. What I can say is that the brake worked to my purpose and I have never, in the last 20 years, had a business dealing with someone so confident in their product or trustworthy of their customers. If you are looking for a brake you might want to give this guy a call.

Sounds pretty good to me. Any chance you could send a picture out to us?

Brakes look good, prices are fair, but it would seem they pretty much all need to be bored to size, except maybe their AR brakes. There is no indication of the through hole size.

They also don't say anything about heat treating them. If they aren't, the "finest materials" pitch is a marketing gimmick, because 41L40 (leaded 4140 CRMO) and 416 (sulfurized free machining stainless) are not really superior to mild steels without heat treatment. They just machine easier.
