Hi,
I'm trying to find info on a H&R single shot 28 ga shotgun. It was given to me by my grandfather. I would like to know when it was made and how much it is worth. Thanks in advance, Rob

H&R started in the 1880s. The 28 gauge was introduced sometimes after WWI.

These fetch little in the market unless they're in nigh perfect condition, and then still less than $200.

As a gift from an ancestor, it's priceless. Go shoot it.

Thanks! I shot clays with it a couple weekends ago and it is a good little gun. Do you know of anywhere I canfind more info about it? It doesn't say what model it is. The only thing I can see on the side of the receiver is Harrington and Richardson, where it was made and a patent number.

I've got an H&R 12 ga that my great grandfather gave my grandfather as a wedding present in 1940. It's not worth much, but priceless to me. Enjoy your 28 ga! Let the skeet beware.....
