So I wanted to buy a 41 magnum…looked at all the gun stores that we frequent, no luck. My wife and I hit the gun shows saw a couple ruger blackhawks and a newer S&W model 57 classic, he wanted what I can buy a new one for so I passed. Posted on another local forum that I was looking for a 657 (all my other mags 357,44,460) are all stainless so I guess I have a theme going, figured might as well stick with it. Most of my revolvers are S&W. We went to another gun show a little while back still on the hunt for the 41… and some how I fell for a CZ SP-01 shadow 2 target. Really nice shape low round count everything thing still in the box as shipped. While I was waiting for my background check he shows me a colt 1911 series 80 again everything including paperwork still in the box. So now I’m the owner of 2 guns I really wasn’t looking for and still looking for the 41. Anyone else suffer from the attention span of a goldfish? IMG_4544.jpeg IMG_4491.jpeg

Mine can tend to be along the lines of a housefly.

You have an eye for nice guns, they rarely show up in one place, at the same time.
The .41 mag will be along any time now.... Ask me how I know.

Squirrel!!!🐿️
I am more in the Squirrel camp 😆
Or, as I tell my wife, “I am flakier than a snowstorm when it comes to guns.”

In the past year or so I bought a Kel Tec CP33 when I was shopping for a Ruger .22.
I was interested in buying a .308 bolt action rifle. I bought a Ruger SFAR instead.
I was in the process of gathering funds to buy either a Chiappa Rhino or a Henry revolver. I opted to send my Colt DS out to make it 100% instead.
The monies I had set aside for a new revolver became a set of tires l, a chain, 2 new sprockets and a 45K service on my motorcycle.

Nice. I recently got a CZSPO1 Shadow, not the target with adjustable sights. Just shot my first match with it today.
How did you do at the match? The CZ has an amazing trigger in both da/sa, CZ builds the gun, then they ship it to CZ custom in Mesa Az where Angus and his crew do a custom trigger and spring job.

No plan survives walking through the front door of a gun show.
I've managed to walk out of a couple of gun shows empty handed. My plan was to look for something specific and not buy anything else. It served me well, as I still had the money available at the next gun show, where I found exactly what I had been searching for, and was more expensive than I had thought it would be.

Finding my M57 was pure accident, I don't remember what I was looking for that day, but ran across the M57 along with a M29-2. The .44M was not in as good a shape, but had the factory Target stocks, box and tools and was a 4", and the SN was something in the mid 1970's. Any other day I'd have grabbed it and run, but the guy also had the 6" M57. No box or tools, had Altamont stocks, but the finish was almost perfect and it was a S prefix SN. It was $100 more than the M29-2. I'm glad I chose it.

Actually not very well. First, I turn 71 next month. I just put a Trijicon SRO optic on it. Still getting comfortable with it. It was funny. One stage was a classifier. 4 steel poppers in the middle. Two cardboard targets on the left and right. You shot the 2 left paper, steel from the left side. The 2 paper steel on the right side from the right side.

Standing I wouldn't have a problem. But you had to lean out and squat or take a knee to shoot under a board sticking out from the top of the short wall. Shooting the steel on the left I shot the first one but when I transitioned I saw the next steel and shot it. But I skipped the second steel I was required to shoot and shot one one the right side, out of order. Finished the other side but didn't know I'd done it untill someone pointed it out to me. They were surprised I could lean out that far to shoot it.

Had a couple good stages but way too slow on a couple. But I loved shooting the CZ. Had fun and shooting another USPSA match next Sunday.

Nah, I don't think you have the attention span of a goldfish! More like you have the flexability and good sense to know that the two guns that you came across by chance were there for the asking. You're going to have lots of other opportunities to get the Model 657 that you're looking for.

So enjoy your latest acquisions and let us know how things go at the range!

I woke up to snow this morning so I’m going to hold off on shooting today. But I did load up some 9mm with some power pistol so I’m ready as soon as the weather cooperates.

I was originally on the hunt for a Colt Official Police in .38 Special. Between getting the Colt and when I wanted it. I got a Bond Arms .45 Colt Derringer and another S&W Model SD9VE.
