Has anyone seen a Nambu outside of a museum?

Did some research. Looks like some did go to South America. Anyway, I just got back from Simpson's...with a 99% pristine Type 14. I'm gonna start a new thread on it.

I found one in a Long Beach scrapyard back in the '70's.
It was tangled up in a nice crocheted seat cover in the back of a wrecked Caddy,
My uncle Bill and I were dumping a load of scrap at the time.
After I realized that i wasn't going to find any ammo I let uncle Bill talk me out of it.

I have had 2 nambu type 14's. I found that they tended to be quite accurate, at least as accurate as Lugers and P-38s. The main problem is that 180 degree rotation of the safety to fire. That and finding brass. I still have one. If not for losing brass it would be a fine small game gun.

I saw a nambu once, on tv. Isn't that the gun you can tap and it would go off? Or was it the other one? They say the luger was what inspired the ruger, I think it was really the nambu
