has anyone seen these?

I have not seen them in person, only on the Internet.

No reason someone could not assemble their own 'Kits' according to one's tastes or anticipations.

Easy to do, just keep it in the Trunk ( if one has a Car with a Trunk, and by now, few do I guess...)

Good, heavy, clean Socks, are always a good item to include...as is a Carton of Pall Malls.

No, doubt you can assemble your own to taste. I just have never seen anything like this advertised.
It just came across to me as a sign of the times. Someone who has never owned a firearm now has an option to buy a "Allied Forces Disaster Kit".

True enough that everyone should have these, and we are working on one for our two vehicles. We have one at the house ready to go. Instead of a 9mm, it has a Maverick 88 with a 18.5" barrel broken down, a .22 LR/Mag SA pistol, and camping food, bandages, etc.

Still this caught me by surprise that they have these kits.

What, it doesn't come with beef jerky? What kind of stingy survival kit is that? Who would actually want to live in a world without jerky?

Interesting though.

Its about marketing:

If ya make something,,,,, well, then,,,,, ya need to sell it, to any & everyone willing to buy it.
To who ever ya can, and hopefully by the thousands- every day, for (slightly)more than it cost ya to make it.
---That's "Economics 101"----

If that works well-- Then you can buy (for yourself):
Bigger & thicker steaks, older Whiskey, newer cars, nicer clothes for your kids,,,,,,, etc.,etc.,,,,,,,,

That's all S&W is trying to do,,,,, sell more of what they make,
to a different, and varied group of people than normally buy their stuff.

This is what we call 'Marketing'.
It works the same for a Firearms maker, or a auto maker,,,,,,,,,,,,,
or your Grand kid looking for new groups of people to buy from thier Lemonaid stand.

I'm just glad they didn't re-package the same products,,,,,, and then call them,
"New, and Improved" like all the various soap makers have done every year or 2, for the last 50 years.

If memory serves me correctly Mossberg puts out a kit as well. It was a MOssberg 500 pistol grip pump shotgun 12ga in a PVC tube. It also had some dime store survival kit included all stored in this tube with a removeable screw cap and a shoulder strap. I often thought something like this would be kinda nice to keep in the boat. It should be fairly waterproof

I haven't seen them before, but it seems fitting that a kit containing a Chinese-made "leatherman" tool would also contain a S&W Sigma.

And I like S&W...

disaster kits are fairly popular. Last year or the year before S&W put together a Grizzly Bear kit centered around a 500 x frame. It had yellow grips or somesuch that would stand out against natural backgrounds and make it easier to find the bear-gnawed pile of bones.
Some people at the SHOT show said that the Smith and Wesson people seemed to be making fun of it.

If it ain't got Tac Bacon, I ain't buyin' it. What kind of Commie, Pinko kit is this?
