Its about marketing:
If ya make something,,,,, well, then,,,,, ya need to sell it, to any & everyone willing to buy it.
To who ever ya can, and hopefully by the thousands- every day, for (slightly)more than it cost ya to make it.

If that works well-- Then you can buy (for yourself):
Bigger & thicker steaks, older Whiskey, newer cars, nicer clothes for your kids,,,,,,, etc.,etc.,,,,,,,,
That's all S&W is trying to do,,,,, sell more of what they make,
to a different, and varied group of people than normally buy their stuff.
This is what we call 'Marketing'.
It works the same for a Firearms maker, or a auto maker,,,,,,,,,,,,,
or your Grand kid looking for new groups of people to buy from thier Lemonaid stand.
I'm just glad they didn't re-package the same products,,,,,, and then call them,
"New, and Improved" like all the various soap makers have done every year or 2, for the last 50 years.
