Has anyone tried Monarch Ammo?

Hi all,

I've just received a leaflet advertising Monarch 9mm ammunition for $3.86 at Academy Sports. It's Russian made so, I assume, steel cased. The price is right but I generally shy away form steel cased ammo. Wolf ammo has not worked well in some of my semiautos in the past. Has anyone here tried this stuff? Is it any better than Wolf? Is it a pretty hot round? I've done a search here, but haven't found any relevant info.

Does academy still have blazer for $3.86? I think I woud prefer the blazer if that deal is still going on.

The blazer ammo should still be available at that price. Not all the academy stores seem to have the 9mm blazer ammo on hand, I've noticed.

Monarch makes great rifle ammo I use 7.62 and .223 both a worked flawlessley fpr 5000 rounds

I've used plenty of Monarch 7.62x39 with no problems. It's a little dirty and stinky, but works flawlessly. I've used it in a Yugo SKS, a Saiga 7.62x39, and a Mini-30 with no FTEs or FTFs.

never tried the ammo but the Triplesec is ok and the vodka is not too bad to bring to parties where everyone else will be drinking yours too. but for a good Kami Kazi at home, i stick with Skyy. huh? did i miss something?
