Has Kel Tec dropped the PF9 and P3AT?

I have had 3 P3AT's. The first I lost in the divorce. The second I sold to buy a P365. I love the P365 but I missed the KT so I bought the 3rd one. All of them have been flawless and they are just so easy to conceal.

I got my PF9 in 2010, and the P32 the next year. They've been my most-carried guns, usually together. I've recently been transitioning to a Taurus G2C on the belt and a Ruger LCP-MAX in the pocket, but those KTs aren't going anywhere. The KT models have certainly had a good run.

Their P11 and P3AT were the worst pistols I have ever owned. The p11 was bought and sold in the same day. I sent the P3AT in for warranty work and sold it the same day I got it back. When I saw the news story of "Florida gun maker sending firearms to Ukraine" and saw it was Kel-tec, I felt bad for the Ukrainians. No tears from me if they are dropped.

Interesting ...

I bought my P3-AT in 2005 and it quickly became a primary carry pistol (replaced my PPK in the lineup). I followed that in '07 with a PF-9 and it became the Primary until I bought my first 3.3" .45 XDs in 2013.

I still carry the P3-AT fairly often, especially in warm weather, but the PF-9 has been languishing in the south gunsafe for quite awhile.

Thanks for sharing the observation, TTv2! :)

P3AT is a smidge tinier than an LCP. If you get a good one they’re great guns. Mine has never failed, has surprisingly useable sights for the size, and fits my smaller hand well.

I’ll wager they introduce a pocket pistol in 30 Super Carry.
Idk about a pocket pistol, but I could see Kel Tec doing a full size that held 25 in the mag.

And if they did that and kept the price low, more people would be willing to buy and try that new fangled .30 Super.

"It's (P32) also the only poly frame .32 micro pistol that's on the market"

It also sits in a very rare position among .32 ACP handguns, as one of a few locked breech .23's.
Per my limited memory there are only two others, and they have retarded blowback actions, the Remington 51 in .32 and the Savage 1907 .32, which barely keeps the "retarded blowback" term since it's know that the action is only very slightly, if at all, retarded.
If anyone knows of others I'd love to hear of them, hopefully not plastyguns.

I've carried a P3AT for many years and had only two complaints, (1) the trigger is a steel rod that runs inside the plasticrap trigger and carries the load of finger pressure during firing (Which rod migrated out causing failure to fire, and which I repaired quickly) and (2) the mag release button commonly dropped the mag a fraction of an inch inside my pocket, which I fixed by belt sanding it down flush. I figured being able to fire the six rounds in the mag has priority over changing mags. I found it easy to stick the tip of my thumb on it in such a way that it always releases the mag when needed.
Even though I despise cheap materials in guns I have to admit that Kel-Tec has innovative
engineers, how many "true" handguns (Not rifles claimed to be pistols) carry 30 rounds of .22 Magnum like the PMR-30?

I’ve been looking for a P32 for a while. Only I can’t find ammo for it! My LCP is my grab and go CCW. The P32 is smaller and lighter than my cell phone! The conceal carry possibilities are endless.
I would have bought a P3AT, but no gun stores in my area carried them!

I have a gen.1 that I picked up in 2001 and a gen. 2 I got in 2019 I’ve been a big fan of .32acp for years easy to carry and a pleasure to shoot

Looked at their website just now and they're not listed anymore. Typically when guns are no longer on a manufacturer's website that means they've been discontinued. Wouldn't surprise me if true, the P15 is likely a better 9mm than the PF9 and the .380 Kel Tec makes has long been eclipsed by others such as the LCP and LCP Max.

I own two Keltec weapons and have been VERY happy with both. My P32 can be carried places that other guns just can't be and mine has been 100% reliable. I carried my P32 at work for MANY years because flashing or printing was a VERY bad idea. My less practical Keltec is a Desert Eagle L5 in 50 ae. It is probably my most fun gun to shoot... depending on my mood. I am sorry to hear that they dropped the P3AT (the start of a whole new segment of handguns) but when the time came to make a choice I went with the LCP. The PF9 never interested me.

I finally bought a p32 based on this news.

I really liked my p-11 and carried it a few times before switching to a glock 26. The larger glock 26 doesn't carry as well though and I looked for a P3-AT at tge time thinking I'd get a p3at and a p32 as a pair.

Never found one in stock and the gen 1 LCP has a DA trigger too so I just got a gen 1 LCP. I don't like strikers in my pocket but don't mind them on my belt. I guess I still wanted that p32 though because I got one now.

I really like keltec and I hold them in high regard. My P-11, SUB-2000 , and KSG are all great.

I had a P3AT that worked fine and gave me no trouble. My FiL has it now because I like the LCPII better.

I think I had the P9 rather than the P11? I got it for dirt-cheap (literally, it was very dirty) used. I cleaned it up and it was reliable, but the trigger was very stiff.

They both went bang every time and didn't cost much.
