A few years back, I was sitting in a Doctor's office first thing in the morning. My 642 was in a hand made leather holster bought from a reputable dealer/ manufacturer.
The holster, unbeknown to me had stretched out just enough and all retention was gone.
The gun fell out with a loud clang.
Fortunately, no one else was in the office, so I scooped it up, ran for the bathroom and figured out what happened.
No more leather pocket holsters for me.
