Years ago at one of the nearby gun shows, there was this one guy who always had three Enfield for sale,, always priced pretty high,,,He just like to chat and show his guns....Went by once he had only two, said someone actually paid his price...I noticed he had raised his prices.

we have a small gun show,,,,15 tables or so,,about ten mins away,,,nice venue,,,friends have tables there,, I am thinking about taking a few of my Enfield there and see if I can sell them...I know I need to do some research , but they are C&R, and I think a local face to face, cash transaction will be legal..

Appreciate any opinions.

The market for milsurps right now is really, really, really hot. I got outbid by unreasonable amounts I could hardly believe on the last two auctions I tried to snag something on Gunbroker. I'd say if you've got Enfields to sell, and you want to sell, now is the right time to sell. I saw a very nice No. 4 Mk I at a local gun shop for $950.

I guess I missed where the OP stated the Enfields are rifles.
Quite right. Generally assumed by milsurp collectors to refer only to Lee-Enfield rifles, I guess. Not a type I know all that much about. I have one, but it's not my main squeeze. If the OP comes back to the thread, maybe some clarification would be welcomed.

I think a local face to face, cash transaction will be legal.

As long as you perform your due diligence and ask if they're prohibited or not (I always ask for a carry permit card) then you should be ok. Remember that a bunch of people are going to be handling your Enfields and you need to wipe them down frequently in case one of those people has corrosive skin oil/sweat. Take a buddy to sit the table with you so you're not trapped (and so you can go to the bathroom occasionally). Make sure you ask much more than you think is reasonable so you don't sell out too soon.
