Know they are getting scarce, wondered if anyone still had them for less than $300. Should have bought two.

I heard that there was a shipment coming later this spring, and there were a few more staggered after that. Don't know the validity, so maybe I'm just perpetuating the rumor.

As far as I can tell, they're not at reasonable prices anymore. I would have jumped at $250 or so but now they are $300+ and often with only one mag, no holster, etc, etc.

SIG website has no mention of the P6 / 225 in their product lineup.

Um, you know people have been buying these as surplus police trade-ins imported from Europe (Germany). I don't believe these have been made (at least for the civilian, US market) in many years if ever. The P6 was a LEO model I believe.

I've seen one in the local pawn shop for somewhere around $500. Saw a P225 at a gunshow several months back for $320 something. Looked good, box, 2 mags. Came close to picking it up. They guy seemed willing to deal on it.

The P-6 is the German Police/Military model / name for the P-225.
It was never sold in the U.S. by SIG or anyone else.

The commercial P-225 was dropped by SIG in the U.S. several years ago because of low sales against the double-stack guns.

....

im afraid the 259.00 p6 has gone the way of the dinosaurs, have heard of a container ship of surplus pistols coming in though this year.dont know which ones.im still sick over the pictures of all the makarovs and tokarevs being crushed in latvia or lithuania, wherever.per an h/k contract or something.

Selling for around $400 now on gunbroker. Not all that many around, hope more due arrive as posted.

Sig 225

I own one. Came with a holster and two mags, and gun cleaning kit and rebuild kit with firing pin and new springs, the rebuild kit had a German name. The name of the German cop was signed in the holster. The gun works great, never misses, never jams. I paid $250.00 for it and had the slide Parkerized.

For a while there the P6's were BAR-NONE the best 9mm's for your buck, but alas, even they've gone up. I saw 3 of them at a local shop the other day for $325-$350 though, which isn't rediculous.

Sig P6

Today I became a Sig guy with a P6 on layaway-local store. It has practically no wear on finish as determined by this picky inspector: minor holster wear (2 on scale of 10). Top end inspection revealed a well oiled, very low mileage keeper!

Included for $373 incl. tax:
P6 in very good+ cond. w/ small import marks on left side; 2 mags; Blue Sig plastic box; Blk. Flip Leather holster; Blk. Leather mag holder (1);
:D

Obviously not the same deal, so I am likely throwing mud on the water, but the GM in Wichita has had one of the old butt-magazine release Sig 220's in 9mm for a while; last weekend I noticed it was marked down to $315, or thereabouts...I thought hard about it, but getting magazines, etc, and the mag release where it is would have made it more of a collector than anything...maybe someone bought it...it is a Sig 9mm after all

I always have to ask, but my gunshop almost always has some pretty good ex-LE guns in stock. I've picked up Sig P-220s and 226s on the cheap. I've sold most of them for some other needful guns, but did keep my ex-LE Sig P-226, which I like (ok, love) so much, I will never sell it.
