Today at work one of my female co-employees wrapped an arm around me, then let it drag down and off my back. I was momentarily terrified that she would run into the butt of my CW9. Luckily she didn't, and even if she had the boss would have been OK with it. But she is about the ONLY one I would be worried about finding my CCW.
So my question is have you ever been "made" anywhere by anyone who doesn't already know you carry?
And if so what happend from the experience?

Darn, I thought this was going somewhere else...:what::neener::D

Yeah. I got made at work a couple of months ago. I was bending over and apparently printed pretty badly. A female employee said "what's that on your belt that looks like a gun?"

I said "probably a cell phone" and went on about my business.

I don't think she bought it. But I don't really care. :D I work for some pretty pro 2a folks.

Maybe pocket carry might be better at work.

If it is possible she suspects something. Maybe back off on carrying at work for a week or so, in case she reports you.

That way you can lift up your shirt and reveal that "cell Phone" that has been on your hip the whole time...

The above scenerio was constructed as an option available to you, and no way indicates that you may or may not be willing to submit to a search.

the above scenerio is not to be replayed or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Baseball,,, or at least THE HIGH ROAD...

I've been made twice in my life time. First time was long before it was legal to carry concealed in Texas and it was a cop that made me. No arrests, just a question if that was a pistol in my pocket. Answered yes and that ended that.

Second time was about 2 weeks ago. Young doctor's assistant spotted the outline commented briefly.

No police officer has made me and I've had numerous encounters. I've followed the law and told them and showed my license. None disarmed me until this last traffic stop and a young officer followed his training and removed my gun. No ticket issued and gun returned. End of story.

Oh, and it was Fair Oaks PD, not SAPD.

Once, by my mother while giving me a hug. With a dirty look she said "What the hell is that". Mom is a good liberal and doesn't approve of "Eeevil guns"

If she says "is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me." You can just smile and say...."both"

I simply don't worry about it if I'm not violating any policy. However, some folks will make a big issue out of nothing and from my interpretation, this is one of those people.

Nope. I've carried all day around the wife lots of times wit her hugging me, snuggling up, etc, and she never noticed until I take the gun ff to set it n the table next to me for comfort and she says "have you had that on all day? I had no idea!" Tells me that when I ccw and am actually trying to really keep it hidden, I'm doing a good job. Now I either OC or really sloppily CCW 99% of the time, so it doesn't really matter as if its concealed at all, its not really on purpose, it just because my shirt or coat just happens to be covering it because I'm wearing one due to weather, not to conceal.

Sort of...Wife had her arm around me at a restaurant, then got a funny look on her face as she felt around my waist. She whispered into my ear "Where's your gun? Did you leave it at home?" (I had...was on the way to work, on a military installation). I so have a great woman!

Twice.

Once by a guy at work when I was with Gander Mountain. He went to elbow me a bit after telling some kind of joke and *clunk*, ran his elbow right into it. He said "sorry, didn't mean to hit your gun". No problems.

Second, by a girl. We dated a few times and then after we had hugged several times she reached around me and grabbed the butt of the gun and said "What's that". No problems there, either.

One my co workers gave me a hip bumpbecause I was hugging the copier. She knew it was a gun. It was cool. I had no doubt she had one in her purse. I had no doubt I was the only one with a permit.

A few years ago a (first) date put her arm around my waist and not only noticed my IWB glock at 4 o clock, but kinda grabbed and jiggled the butt to confirm what it was (this sounds dirty)! I didn't mention it nor did she because we were in line for movie tickets and didn't want to announce it to everyone around.
I casually mentioned it later and she was cool with it and thought it was a nice gesture I'm willing to protect her and myself.
After a few close calls with hugs I've learned to automatically hug them around the waist to force them to grab up around your neck/shoulders.
It's not something to be ashamed of but not something to announce either if you want to stay concealed.

I think so, but nothing was said....

I chant at vespers and matins in my church, and one of the chanters is, um, rather ample in girth. I thought I had moved over enough for her to see the music on the music stand, but she leaned against me and into my Jagwear belt pouch in which sits my Kimber. She sort of raised an eyebrow, said sorry about that, and went on. It's hardly a secret that we're gunnies anyway, since everybody gets to hear our hunting stories at coffee hour :D

Dang...........I need to start hanging around with a few of you guys. It appears I am missing out on some attention from the ladies. A lot of you are getting
" hugged " and " handled " by them on a routine basis. :)

Chris

I am a member of a certain 12 step fellowship, and there is a lot of hugs that go around.

I try to put my arm underneath the approaching arm to counter "the touch"... It helps!

But if you are going to bump into somebody, not much you can do about that except pocket carry...

Yup, Romma, CT will do that to ya. I'm going out of my mind in this crapola state. Good ol' Jack does seem to make it easier to deal with when all's said and done at the end of the day.

I was made once by my niece who was only 3 or 4 at the time when she ran up to me to give a hug.
Ran head first into my 1911 and thumped it pretty good. LOL
She rubbed her head and gave me the strangest look. :D
