1000 rounds American Eagle 115gr 9mm and 1000 rounds of S&B 115gr 9mm. Both from Able's Sporting, which shipped the next day.
Also ordered two additional mags for my P320 from Sig.
I ended up buying a stack from Bass Pro in Tampa. I stopped into my local Wal-Mart, they had some but I still refuse to buy from Wal-Mart. I have about 220rds now so I should be good
Just ordered 500 rds of Tula steel cased 308 from sgammo. It was a little higher than I wanted, but I'd just gone to the range and put 100 rds down range. Want to be sure I have plenty.
It's going through a C308, the gun happily prefers steel over brass. Yet to have a problem with steel, have occasionally had to push the charging handle down hard to get brass out.
Got a new bullet mold and sizer in today. A lee 140gr .358 double cavity trunciated cone mold and a .356 sizer. I figure I can use it in 38 special loads and it should feed very well in the Marlin lever action and then resize some for 9mm use. A hard cast 140gr bullet in a 9mm pushed to 900fps in a 15 shot gun should be a decent practice and in a pinch SD load.
I received my RMR order of 115gr HP bullets last week so I'm good on 9mm stuff.
Ordered a gun belt from a local leather worker.
Been wanting a new one for a while.
Ranger style with .45Colt bullet loops designed to match a holster for a Ruger Blackhawk I already own.
Checked out a bunch of his previous work and it is very good quality. He quoted a 2-3 week delivery which is much better than the 6-12 weeks that online suppliers quote.
Last week I purchased some additional barrel and shroud assemblies (2.5", 4", 8") for my Dan Wesson 715 to make it a (custom of sorts) pistol pack, as I couldn't find one when I purchased the 6" revolver only.
They came in the mail today...
Son has a birthday next week. Wanted to buy him a new set of grips for his .454 Casull Super Blackhawk. Ordered a gift card from Rio Grande Custom Grips. http://www.riograndecustomgrips.com/home.html
Bought some 450 bushmaster ammo tonight. Finally found some on my third stop. Man are shelves bare, almost as bad as the toilet paper shelves in March. This is the first factory ammo I’ve bought in quite a number of years as I normally reload everything.
Hi...
Little gun shop tour today.
Sent a new Marlin .44Magnum lever action rifle back to the manufacturer because it keyholes just about every round at 7-10yards. The shop I bought it from said that was between Marlin Remington and me and they weren't getting involved.
I was going to buy some Hornady handgun bullets for reloading but their response angered me so I took my business to another shop.
I bought one box of .357cal bullets at one shop and a box of .41cal, one of .44cal and one of .375cal bullets at another shop. The first shop's poor customer service cost them over a $100 in sales today. No telling how much in sales it will cost them in the future but I bought virtually all my gunpowder and primers there for the last 40 years, most all of my jacketed bullets and quite a few firearms. They sell a very limited selection of cast bullets...I have other suppliers for those. It appears being a loyal customer for decades means very little to them.
