Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I wish I could hate Cabela's like most people seem to but......they had a Ruger American Ranch .450 Bushmaster on sale today. Best price I could find anywhere $404.
They also have a trade-in sale going on so I traded in a POS BSA 2.5 power scope and picked up a Vortex 3.5x10 Diamondback for $129. I was out the door in 30 minutes. Damn you Cabela's.

Hi...
I had a BlackHawk flat top in .44Spl on lawaway at a local gun shop for about a month.
Picked it up today. Now I have a matched set of BlackHawk flat tops in .44Spl.
Look good in my El Paso Saddlery double holster rig...not quite as good as my matched set of original full size Vaqueros in .45Colt, but they do look pretty good.

Since I was already there and didn't have anywhere to go, I decided to check out the gun racks for something else that I didn't really need.
New gun pickings are pretty slim but there were a couple of Uberti SAA clones but nothing that tickled my interests. One thing in the used handgun case that caught my attention was a Dan Wesson revolver. I asked to look at it...turns out it is a blued Monson gun with an 8-3/8" barrel (didn't measure it) in .41Magnum.
Now I already have three other Dan Wesson revolvers (.22LR, .44Magnum and .375SuperMag) but I don't have a Dan Wesson in .41Magnum.
I do own three other .41Magnums(two BlackHawks and a Model 57), so I don't really need another one, right?

But I have a soft spot for Dan Wesson revolvers and I am a big fan of the .41Magnum...but I really don't need any more .41Magnums, right?
Besides... it's $900 and I am a poor retiree on a fixed income, right?

Good, we got that settled.

Yes, I put it on layaway. I will pick it up when my pension deposits are posted the first of the month. Told my wife when I got home...she just laughs. My son is all excited...wants to know if he can shoot it first.
I may have a problem, right? Hope there isn't a cure.

Archie: did you read about the Russian Cossack who inspected—on the Westinghouse production line- many of the Mosin rifles?

He slammed the Buttstocks onto the hard factory floor.

Guess what trick they played on him once, when he grabbed a loaded rifle with a cocked bolt?

Just delivered today: Boyd's stock for my Browning A-Bolt II with a stainless McGowan barrel in .264 WSSM.
It was one of their "fire sale" items; Classic style satin finished walnut with black grip cap and fore end tip, fleur de'lis laser checkering, Kick-Eze pad, and sling swivel studs. The only thing I would have done differently is to used their "skip-line" checkering pattern in a fleur de'lis. $404.39 before shipping if ordered as it came. However, fire sale price was $204.00, so a pretty good value. Considering this is a project rifle that began life as a NIB $360 gunbroker auction bargain .223 WSSM back in 2009, it's about time it comes to full completion! :)

Now, I gotta dust off my bedding skills, get me a glass bedding kit and 'put it to bed', so to speak.

From Federalpremium.com 300 rounds of American Eagle 9mm 124 gr jhp at double the pre-panic price.
Didn’t really need it, but we don’t know what the future holds.

Picked up a jug of powder from a local spot. I've had Varget on back-order for about four months now and am not sure if it is going to show up before Christmas.

Double jack-pot today! Buccheit's had a crap load of .40 S&W! Decent PMC brass at $17.49 a box. 5 box limit. Also a magazine for my new Ruger Mark IV. Gotta settle down buying gun related stuff.☺️ I say that tongue-in-cheek... Hopefully getting a new piece next week!
