Hi...
I had a BlackHawk flat top in .44Spl on lawaway at a local gun shop for about a month.
Picked it up today. Now I have a matched set of BlackHawk flat tops in .44Spl.
Look good in my El Paso Saddlery double holster rig...not quite as good as my matched set of original full size Vaqueros in .45Colt, but they do look pretty good.
Since I was already there and didn't have anywhere to go, I decided to check out the gun racks for something else that I didn't really need.
New gun pickings are pretty slim but there were a couple of Uberti SAA clones but nothing that tickled my interests. One thing in the used handgun case that caught my attention was a Dan Wesson revolver. I asked to look at it...turns out it is a blued Monson gun with an 8-3/8" barrel (didn't measure it) in .41Magnum.
Now I already have three other Dan Wesson revolvers (.22LR, .44Magnum and .375SuperMag) but I don't have a Dan Wesson in .41Magnum.
I do own three other .41Magnums(two BlackHawks and a Model 57), so I don't really need another one, right?
But I have a soft spot for Dan Wesson revolvers and I am a big fan of the .41Magnum...but I really don't need any more .41Magnums, right?
Besides... it's $900 and I am a poor retiree on a fixed income, right?
Good, we got that settled.
Yes, I put it on layaway. I will pick it up when my pension deposits are posted the first of the month. Told my wife when I got home...she just laughs. My son is all excited...wants to know if he can shoot it first.
I may have a problem, right? Hope there isn't a cure.
