Another example.. lol
...
Say you have a Porsche, and it hold 8qts of oil max.
And you're gonna drive 250 miles, and your gas tank says 99% full.. and you know it's good for 380 miles. Are you gonna stop and top it off, just to be sure..?
This is the same as if a guy just had an oil change in his Porsche and it is fresh, clean, and is maxed out with all 8qts of oil.
Another guy pulls up next to you, knows his Porsche has only 7qts of oil and gives you the look.. The race is on.. The light goes green and both of you put your foot all the way into it..
At about the top end of 2nd gear, the guy with the max load of 8qts hears a strange sound, and gauges start to fluctuate, as the the guy with the 7qts of oil starts pulling away in 3rd gear, 4th, gear and 5th gear.. WHY?
Because any Porsche manual says, NOT to use MAX RPM loads with a max load of 8qts of oil, otherwise, you stand the chance of blowing out oil seals, and your chance of it happening the first time you do it, is GREAT.
Less is more in the long run.. lol, one goes the distance, the other encounters a jam, of sorts, lol.
For the record, during any real race, most run with just 6qts of oil..
To be clear, many of my guns have operated flawlessly with max loads + 1 at the range, and on the other hand, some of my guns have coughed, enough times, after the first shot, that the need to feel secure with one extra bullet, fall short, with the confidence that they shoot 100% of the time at the range with a normal load.. otherwise, not topped off, as they're loaded at home, or while CCW, on the road.
LS
PS.. NO, I do not own or drive a Porsche anymore, to rich for my blood.. lol
