For the main HD gun, my Mossbers 590, it has 8 in the tube, Federal 3" oo buck (15 pellets per shell) and 4 federal 1oz slugs in the speed-feed stock.
For the S&W m637 38spl, no reloads, just 5 135gr speer gold dot hp's.No need for reloads IMHO as its my "backup" to the shotgun above. If I unload all 8 rounds of buckshot, the all 5 from the snubbie, and the 4 slugs, and still need more, I'm screwed royally, these are "super-zombies" that simply cannot be killed.:D

I should have more reloads ready to go than I do - I'm just paranoid about spring fatigue and still believe that a modern double-stacked magazine spring in a fully-loaded mag will weaken with time. So, I buy lots of spare mag springs and rotate.

I do feel 20-ish rounds of shotgun ammo should be about 18-19 more than I'd ever need... but, better safe than sorry!

Why would someone need more than (one, two, etc.) reloads? Here's an example: one maintenence worker in town was assaulted by 10-15 loitering thugs in the MGM casino parking garage. A few days later, the same thing happened at a Wal-Mart a couple miles from my house. Now, I've yet to hear of a homeowner being invaded by such a large number of criminals, but just because I haven't yet read about it in the local paper doesn't mean it is impossible.
