I went out to the range today to test a Taurus PT145 as a potential gun for some of the disabled shooters I train. The gun shot very well, and did fine, but I discovered something interesting. I tried the magazine from my .45 ACP Taurus 24/7 - and it fitted, fed and functioned just fine in the smaller PT145, which uses a 10-round magazine. The only noticeable difference was that when inserting the 24/7 mag in the PT145, the slide (if locked back) would be immediately released, chambering a round, without having to use the slide stop to do so.

So, if you need to buy some more magazines for reloads, the 12-round 24/7 magazine will work just fine in the PT145, and hold two more rounds to boot.

Dast and Blamnation!

I already bought a couple of PT-145 mags from CTD for spares. :banghead:

No, it doesn't fit flush, it protrudes a bit less than an inch below the butt - but that's OK, as it doesn't interfere with handling. I'd suggest using a standard PT145 magazine for the initial load, and then using the 24/7 magazine for a backup.
