Anyone ever try using hearing aides as ear protection when out hunting in the field? I've noticed that there are some amplified hearing protection options but over the ear muffs interfere with my cheek weld on my stock and the purpose built amplified hearing protection that goes in-ear that I have seen start around a couple hundred bucks and then go way on up. I'd guess that a guy could find some old hearing aides around and maybe even combine them with a custom molded ear plug set. Anyone ever try this?
