Me, I want either the Scalia or the Thomas edition, both of which feature full auto with a 50-round drum magazine.

 Trying to imagine a drum magazine in a 1911.:)

Ye of little imagination...

What is so crazy about all of this is that the right to bear arms is being questioned at all. The media has this thing framed up as a discussion of whether it applies to the individual or to the state. NO attention is given to the writings of the founders or the early constitutions of the original states of the union. Everyone is running around as if we need to decide the matter once and for all. IT HAS BEEN DECIDED WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN.

Nevertheless, I can see the court interpreting it as a right of the federal government. GOODBYE guns.

Thanks Tyris. I should have known (and searched) that those things actually existed. Hard to CCW I'd imagine.

Not as hard as my 30-rd stick magazine. With it in the 1911 I could probably disguise it as a crutch, though. :)

Indeed...

Tom Goldstein - It is striking that the decision is not clouded by ambiguity created by separate opinions. One opinion on each side.

Tom Goldstein - Apologies - there is a second dissenting opinion, but only one majority - no plurality and no concurrences.
