I'll be working in Merrillville soon. Are there any good indoor ranges up norf?

Yeah, there's a few up here. Blythe's in Valpo is a pretty good one; basic but gets the job done. Pretty cheap too. Another one is Rangemasters in Chesterton, more expensive but a very nice indoor range. Good people work at both, so you can't go wrong in that regard. If you like the outdoor thing, there's a nice range around LaPorte called Kingsbury.

Ah, that's what that means. Nope, I'm city folk , but what I've heard of it sounds like a lot of fun. I'll have to give it a try sometime.

chicago jerry, you might know a guy I work with with the last name of Vales. He's big into the CAS thing in this area.

Do you know what Vales alias is? In C.A.S. everyone takes an alias when they join S.A.S.S (single action shooting society) a lot of us only know each other by their alias. You should come out and watch a shoot sometime its great fun and the people are very freindly. There's one this Sunday in Chesterton just a hop, skip, and a jump from Valpo. Its held at the North Porter County Conservation Club.

Greetings from NE IN (Ft. Wayne). I spent a lot of time in NW IN because my dad was born in Lowell and has a house in Schinder IN. Outside of Schinder is where I learned to shoot! I spent many summer days shooting along the dirt roads and corn fields of NW IN. I used to hunt Pheasent out there also. I lived with my mom in Chicago but spent weekends and summers in NW IN. It was heaven for a 12 year old boy to be able to walk down the street with a rifle or shotgun and nobody look twice. It was only a mile or two walk out to where we went shooting so we would just walk out of town with our guns. I learned to drive out there also. 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang.

El Kabong, if your into any shotgun sports we have a nice club in Warsaw just off US30 on the west side. 5 skeet ranges with some trap overlays, wobble trap, double trap, and a 5 stand sporting clay range.
