Help choosing my next pistol

I need some help choosing my next pistol, I went to the range today with my My S&W Sigma and my friend brought his Kimber Pro-Carry II, and I really liked the sights and the longer pistol grip on his Kimber, with it I was able to get a much better group and I enjoyed it a lot more. I guess you could say I have been bitten by the 1911 bug. What I am looking for now is a 1911 style pistol that has a double stacked magazine but fires 40SW or 45 ACP but I would prefer the 40SW since I have a few hundred rounds of it, and has sights that are similar to the ones on the Kimber but that are night sights. I also want it to around a 4 inch barrel, I am looking to spend no more than 500 used and 750 new. Thanks for your input I really will appreciate it as I have no Idea where to start looking.

1911 feel with double stack mag in .40 under $750 new? The only thing that comes to mind is an XD or an Armscor .40 1911 (1911A2-40 S&W Med. Comp.)
