Ok took it out today and finished breaking her in. Ran 200 rounds through it on the first range trip, and 300 today. This time I only shot Winchester White box 230gr FMJ. Had one jam today after maybe 120 rounds, failed to feed properly. I was using a Wilson Combat mag at the time of the jam. Accuracy is still spot on. By the end of the day it had developed a little bit of a rattle. Well I guess that mans its broken in
. Still hate cleaning the damn thing, which brings me to the mods. I have decided what all to do now. 1.) Hard chrome (should help with clean up, plus I always wanted a shiny 1911
)2.) Checker front strap
3.) Extended slide release ( I have a hard time reaching the stock one)
4.) Replace front sight. The problem I have with the front sight is its too fat to get a good picture window. Anyone have the name of a manufactuer that makes a thinner one?..........Well thats it for now, I plan on talking to the smith next week. I will be sure to post some better pics of the finished product.
