I am a lucky owner of an Enfield 2A in 7.62x51. I love the quickness of the action, but I hate the blade sights. I want to replace the rear sight with a SMLE Mojo sight. Are these sights worth the price? The rear sight is far foreward on the rifle. Would I be better off by getting a no-gunsmith scope mount for it? If so, what would be the best choice for a mount. I can't decide what to do and I hope that you all here can give me some ideas. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a 2A and don't know if they'll fit one (they are really good about answering emails though). However, I have the "SnapSight Tandem Arpertures" on a Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant. They are a quality product. For target shooting, they are awesome. I plan on getting another set for one of my K31s for that use. I don't think they'd make good field sights though. I'd prefer a scout mounted scope for that kind of use.

The rear arperture alone is a minor improvement when it's mounted that far foreward. Better than nothing, but nowhere near as good as a low power scout scope with the proper eye relief and properly mounted.

Supply on the OneHot mounts is really hit-or-miss. I found my on AuctionArms, I believe, for $69 + shipping.

For what it's worth, I have both the Ashley/XS scout mount for the 2A and the OneHot mount. Each has its stengths and weaknesses. The Ashley mount is much, MUCH easier to install but requires that the lower forearm stock be inletted for the mount and the upper forearm stock be discarded. The OneHot mount fits perfectly in the old rear sight mount position so you can retain the stock look of the rifle, but it's quite nerve-racking to get installed and you'll likely do some minor damage to it getting it pounded on.

You use heat to expand the OneHot mount and then pound it on in place of the old rear sight mount. Seemed like no matter how much heat I used, it DID NOT want to fully seat. Of course, when it finally DID seat fully, it was also crooked. :banghead: It took many hours and more than a handful of choice words to get everything to reasonably line up.

I have an extra Ashley mount - if you're interested in trying that, drop me a PM.
