Help identify this pistol

I have this little .25 cal that I am trying to identify. On the slide it only says:

Madison Import Corp
CAL .25 Made in Germany

the grips say SM

I think its zinc and would like to find out the manufacturer so if anyone knows or can tell me of another board to ask it will be much appreciated.

Looks like one of the Reck-made tear-gas guns.. Which were complete POS

Yep, Reck P6, totally zinc POS.

Originally made for 8 mm gas/alarm ammo, but in the 1960's it was imported to US as typical saturday night special.

Ain't worth 10 dollars)

its not a Reck

i have found out what it is with a long internet search and an email to a german guy.

Your Pistol was made by the German company "Rhoener Sportwarenfabrik"

Ok, so it's Rohm, not Reck. But it does not made it any better, yep?

While german guns in general are very higly regarded, companies like Rohm, Reck and several others coul make an entirely different image.

Not ROHM! Rohner is NOT a Rohm.

But it is a Reck P6 gaspistol, which is a trade name of UMAREX Company (www.umarex.de), but some "RECK" modells are made by other manufacturers, like the SM/Rhoner or H. Schmidt.

SM/Rhoner no more exists.
