consider choosing another brand, You are about due

I am sending a BNIB Sig 1911 xo back to Sig for the second time. The cs was rough and resentful on the first call but not as bad as the gunsmithing they did. The 1911 came back with totally substandard work and now has a loose and gritty triger!! Just to be fair, I shoot and collect 1911s only and have no experience with other models. Also glad to hear that OP has had such good luck with Sigs so far. My suggestion for your next model is a 1911;).

I may get killed by the Sig purists for suggesting this, but how about a 250? Ability to swap between calibers. I had a SC built in April 2011 and had no issues with it through 300 rounds. Felt good in my hand and is a good size for EDC. Only reason I traded it was I couldn't get use to the trigger pull.

I'm with the "get another brand" comment. I did the same thing with CZs a few years back, and had 3 very same feeling 9mm pistols to pick from to go shooting. Kinda boring:cool:

A P239 for sure!! They really are excellent pistols. I have five P220s, two P225s and a P239. The P239 is sufficiently different from the P225 to make it interesting. In addition, my experience with my P239 is that they're very reliable and very accurate which is typical of SIGs (my experience). I'm taking the CCH course in less than a month and will be carrying the P239 when I get my license.

On the Sig p210, unfortunately it is way out of my budget, plus the new p210s have some Americanized Sig features that really don't sit well with me - like the extended beavertail. Just really ruins the lines of the original, IMHO.

On the p250, the reasons why Blade37db traded it in, is the reason I won't consider it. That trigger pull...

I like the p239, tried out a friends, and found it doesn't feel significantly smaller than the p228/p229 - I guess what I'm saying is that the slight decrease in size doesn't offset the almost 50% decrease in magazine capacity.

So I made the choice to go with another p228. Yeah, I already have one, but its a Swiss p228 that's in nowhere as nice condition. And I ended up paying less for this KA dated p228 than the Swiss trade-in. But I don't mind continuing the discussion as to my next, next purchase :p

I am going to focus on another 1911 for the end of this year, or next. My front runners are Springfield Milspec Stainless, Colt Commander, or Colt full size. Someone's really going to have to convince me on the Sig 1911.

Hoping my new-to-me p228 lands at my FFL next week. Here's the pic again:
