I'm going to buy a Colt 1911 this weekend; help me choose which one.

Colt new 70 series in stainless steel

OR

Colt 1911A1 WW2 Reproduction Model

Both will be about the same price, around $835 out the door. I will be using this pistol to shoot weekly at an indoor range (200-300 rds/wk). I like the idea of the WW2 repro model, but I'm concerned about the smaller sights, though I do have 20/20 vision. Then again the stainless model was done on one of Colt's better days fit/finish/trigger is excellent on this particular pistol. HELP!

Well, the WW II version was a limited run and will go up in value. It has small sights that might be difficult to see indoors, depending upon lighting conditions. The Series 70 is current production, selling well, and if Colt can continue production, there will be plenty more. Tough call, too bad you can't buy both! Or can you? Things that make you go hmmmm.
