Help me not hate my new PA-63

Tim, you are in New Braunsfeld and I know you from G&A? As many toys as you have I would have figured I would have been learning from you on these guns.;)

I did want to pick your brain on your KT S2K accessories. I can't find any online.

Hey everyone can't know everything, that's why these places are so great!

What kind of accessories are you looking for?

I took mine to the range yesterday with the new Wulff springs. I had some light primer strikes which all did fire on the second trigger pull. When I got home yesterday I added a piece of drill rid to the hole in the hammer to add weight as previously stated. This repair should take care of the problem. I must say I do live the trigger pull of this little gun now! Now I am just waiting on the new grips.

You should be pleased with the accuracy as well...the fixed barrels on these help keep things lined up properly.

Let us know!

If you ordered from Marschals you should get them in about 4-6wks. The longest I have waited was 8 wks. You can't beat the cost vs quality of them.

I oredered these for mine. feg-pa63-walnut-oil-checkered-1.jpg
I think they are going to look nice on the gun.

thanks for the advice on the springs. I'll order some. At the same time i bought the pa-63, i also bought a bulgy makarov. The mak has a better trigger, larger capacity magazines, and is just as thin. if i was going to carry one of them, i'd carry the mak.

denfoote
ding ding ding ding ding!!!!

I too own a Bulgarian Makarov but this thread was not about them.

If that doesn't fix it, take out the firing pin and look at it. It's not uncommon for these old guns to break springs. The FP spring can break, winding in on itself and leaving broken metal bits in the channel. While you have the firing pin out, stone down the sharp edges and burrs.

Get new springs for the 63 and you'll love it. Factory recoil and hammer leave a lot to be desired.

But if you have a shot at a CZ-82 (for around $200 not the $300 some people are asking) get it! It's nearly a blessing it's considered C&R.

I own one ;) And yeah, I have no idea how they got that on the C&R list. High cap, polygonal rifling, ambidextrous controls... sounds like the feature list of a new gun. :D

I'll probably pick up another couple CZ-82's while they're still at the $200 price point.
