help me pick... a couple things..

Hey guys
ive been shooting guns since i was little. everything from .22 short bolt action rifles to full auto class 3 pistols/rifles

considering the way things are going ive decided its time to buy some guns up before its too late..

i already secured a cz82 (it looks BRAND NEW) and im probably going to want another one of those in the future.
does anyone know where i can pick up a couple xtra magazines for this thing...

what i really need is suggestions for a (for lack of a better word) general purpose semi auto rifle.
id like something that is ACCURATE or can be made so later, will reach out a bit, dosent cost me an arm and a leg (i really like fulton m1a but man $$$$) and is also reliable.
(im a broke college kid, with $5k in med bills )

my 2 options from there as far as i can tell are SKS and AK.
but if i get one of those, id still like to find something with a ... larger round.. (like a m1a or SVD-40 tokarev)

are there any more options? large or small?
ive came across this gun on a custom SKS site.. and wouldnt mind getting specs on it...

Here's one place where you can get some CZ 82 mags. They're used and a little pricy though.

As for the SKS/AK thing, I have two guns that use the round. Problem is, and this is just speculation on my part so take it at face value, the latest anti-AK hype in the media seems to be getting traction with lawmakers and I suspect a ban or high regulation may be put into effect for 'cheap' ammo from overseas. I have no proof of this, just a gut feeling.

Just something to consider when buying a rifle. Will I be able to get ammo for it later on.

damn, that is an expensive mag... lol..

i think i may just spend the xtra and get a psl.. i know its not a dragunov.. but it will do the job.. then i can get an ak/sks a little later..

that should cover both of my needs there...

as far as ammo. ill probably buy bulk everytime i have the cash.. and just store it..

and since the next pistol on my list is a cz 75, im probably going to go ahead and pick up some of the high cap mags for it too.

i would still like info on the sks above..

Siaga 308. AK action, US cartridge that will "reach out".

+1 for the Saiga .308 for a cheap all purpose rifle. I doubt if you will have a much of a problem finding .308 ammo available in the future unless another scare happens.
