I placed a vote for #2, but I am bias with an absolute 8mm addiction. That being said I also enjoy .30-06 and there is something about #5. If it were me I would do what I had to to take #2, and #5 home with me.

I think I'm going with 2. It was the one I wanted to begin with :)

I have to say that the new Redfields made by Luepold are the best scopes for the money, this is just my opinion but it is not unfounded. I like peep sights but if You are going to put a scope on it why not get some quick release rings, and a Redfield 2-7x, and practice with it and the irons already on the gun. What ever you decide to do enjoy that is a nice rifle in an excellent chambering.

On second thought, I'm considering #4 now as it has the front sight hood, nice walnut schnabel stock. Plus the D&T' holes seem to be factory drilled.

What do you guys think? Plus the stock doesn't have as many dings as #2's

Is the butt plate on #4 chipped at the toe? Look at the first photo, the plastic doesn't seem to match up with the stock. ?

I think we've already covered that in previous posts :)). If you second guess your choice you will always wonder if you picked the "right" one. Unless you can buy them all (the ONLY way to be sure)pick one and be happy.

Here's something to consider. What would you be able to sell one of them for?

I have no idea if your budget would allow it... but what if you bought both of them, shot both of them, found the most accurate one of two.... and then sold the other one. (either a private sale or back to the dealer you bought them from)

I'm just wondering if one of them might not shoot well at all, or one of them is a real tack-driver. Having the chance to shoot them might make your decision so much easier. You would be investing the cost of ammo, and whatever the difference in purchase and selling price to find out.
